How to Remove Car Emblems

I remove car emblems from a 2014 Nissan GTR Black Edition with fishing line and a heat gun. (Watch me burn my knuckle! :) Thanks for watching. -L

I'm gonna remove them off of my Impreza. But on a GTR I wouldn't take it off. That GTR emblem is more than just a badge. It's a symbol.

There is this orange stuff called Goo Be-Gone. Don't even need that razor. Spray it on let it sit and wipe it off. And your paint is perfect. I've taken off emblems and decals from my cars and motorcycle.

Well that logo decreased the value by $10, 000.

Point to note with burns: don't use ice to treat. It creates secondary burns.

Use cool running water.

Additionally: don't take a GTR badge off!

extremely helpful video! I used 10lb test fishing line + blow dryer + Goo Gone and the dryer worked VERY quickly - can't imagine taking the risk of a heat gun when the blow dryer was so fast (30-45 sec per badge). after the badges were off, the excess adhesive tape rolled right off by hand (2016 Toyota Highlander), so the Goo Gone was just for cleanup and took 60 secs (I could have skipped it!). then wiped clean and hand waxed.  done!  total time = heating badge, 1 min.; fishing line, 2 mins.; removing excess adhesive, 5 mins; Goo Gone and wiping clean, 5 mins.  Difficulty level is like a 3/10. And this was my first time. Thank you!

Who the hell is goin to remove the gtr logo??? Nissan logo ok, but the gtr logo. Its like u remove the skin from ur body bcus "its not looking good" wtf...

Rather than doing this. Warm up a kettle of hot water. Pour it over the sign. It will come off then peel off the glue. Took me 5 mins for the Range Rover

Larry in my opinion you are undoubtedly the best detailer on YouTube. You are making me seriously consider starting my own detailing company in the future but I really wish you would show more of the finished product. You clearly take a lot of pride in your work. Would have been awesome to see this car with both badges off and fully polished

Soaking the goo in wd40 would have saved you an awful lot of time.
