Spigen Slim Armor View Galaxy S4 Case Review

Hands-on review of the Spigen Slim Armor View case for the Samsung Galaxy S4.

It looks like Spigen has come out with yet another new cover for the Galaxy S4 which is a mixture of the Samsung S-View cover and their own Slim Armor case. The result is an innovative flip case called the Slim Armor View.

The one problem that the S-View cover had was the flimsy front cover that constantly flapped around and got in the way. The Spigen Slim Armor View tackled this by making the case sturdy with a front cover that actually latches shut. It's a dual layer case comprised of a TPU insert, a polycarbonate shell, and a scratch resistant viewing window that also comes with a protective screen. The TPU insert provides the volume and power buttons through the case and are pretty easy to press.

Just got this case and it is amazing. Feels and looks great. If you aren't using an Sview case you are missing out and this case in particular is the best case with Sview window and full protection all around.

This case is by far three best I've seen around the net. Just got mine today in the smooth matte black finish. Thanks for the info on how to remove the faceplate. Will come in handy one day.

Great review. My second favorite case after the Neo Hybrid. However, I use this one for more protection depending on what I am doing/taking my phone.

The laminate started peeling after 4 weeks. I like the case, but it looks like crap.

The best thing about this case is the amount of profit it makes for spigen. the hinge breaks far too easy and was very poorly designed. if you open the cover the front panel does not lay flat with the back cover, the hinge will not allow this. the hinge is only kept on the case by two tiny little spigots that break of easy. also when you use the camera the s-view window is not tall enough to make the camera have full use of the lens. this case has some nearly good idea's just a shame its such poor quality. my advice is to buy the chinese cheap copy on ebay for 1/4 price, and they are  infact superior in many ways and have stronger hinge. this case is far too expensive for what it is, this needs to be re-manufactured by someone who is prepared to add a bit more quality for the price of this case.the feel of it in the hand is very nice and it looks fantastic, the phone feels nice and safe in the case, just a shame it falls apart without even dropping it. spigens customer is very bad.
