As a resident of Florida, I thank you for putting this video out there. Every state has weird stories, but it's easier for the media to obtain and publish stories from Florida compared to other states. Also, you should have mentioned that whole zombie thing only happened once, but has somehow become a thing that people think is constantly happening. Also, no bath salts were involved. The guy only had marijuana in his system according to the autopsy.

Interesting point, Hank. I lived in Florida for all my life and I feel that most of these stories originate mostly from Tampa Bay (primarily Clearwater/St. Pete) and Miami areas. I agree with what you said, but I think other factors also play into the high incidence of odd behaviors in our home state. For example, we have extreme heat for most of the months throughout the year which is known to make people angry, anxious, and desperately searching for methods to cool down. On the other side of things, we look over everyone's grandparents for them, which explains the greater incidence rate of dementia among the elderly. Overall, I was just speculating contributing factors alongside your explanation.

So after all that, when are you coming back to visit? If you ever have a public appearance in Florida, I would really like the opportunity to meet you.

I've lived in Florida my whole life. The "Florida Man" stories no longer shock me, they mostly make me laugh. But I really love living here, despite the misconception that we're all crazy. There are so many different types of people you can meet and so much stuff to do. But my favorite thing about living in Florida is that while the rest of North America is freezing their butts off during the winter, we can still go outside in shorts...
