Attack on Turkish elementary school pupil in Duisburg

A schoolgirl of Turkish origin was brutally attacked and injured by a stranger at her primary school in Duisburg on Tuesday. The father of 12-year-old Aysegul blames the school for not calling an ambulance.

The police also took several calls before responding. According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, Aysegul's condition is now stable. The Turkish consulate in Dusseldorf said it was closely following the investigation

It is SHAMEFUL/NEGLIGENT that an ambulance and police were not called immediately!! That is what was needed and morally the correct response! Not to be spiteful... But, i hope the parents pursue legal actions to make sure their daughter is taken care medically if needed and to make sure this doesn't happen to another child.

This is so suspicious, some of them must have seen the attacker and they are protecting that person, it could even be a planned attack and the culprit is probably a pupil, parents should sue the school admin

I'm from Germany. A work colleague saw the news online and we all agreed that this teenager should be put behind bars for a long long time. It's really shameful that the father was forced to call the police himself after the school staff did nothing. Sexual and physical violence against children is detestable, inhumane and warrants zero tolerance.
