Starlink 2.0: Elon Musk SpaceX revealed a new version of Starlink that will Change EVERYTHING we know about the internet.
.
Out of all old brand names companies, the little young boy “Starlink” is the one that has launched the most satellites into orbit to date.
With over 30 successful missions and more than 1700 active satellites, Elon musk hopes for more.
SpaceX is preparing to manufacture its next-generation “GEN2” Starlink satellites, as the company hopes to build this so-called mega constellation network with over 42,000 futuristic satellites.
This project has so far launched 2 main versions 0.9 and 1.0 Starlink satellites deployed into Low Earth Orbit.
But for the first time, the company launched the first constellations of its brand new Version 1.5 equipped with laser communications in September, after a pause of 3 months to add this hardware feature in the spacecraft.
There have been more confirmed upgrades and changes coming soon to Starlink, in this video; we will discuss the upcoming versions of Starlink 1.5, 2.0, their features, and improvements.

My son took his dish on remote military training in a southern United States desert. Because the dish is geolocked to his home address, all he needed to do was contact Starlink that he was temporally going remote. Starlink unlocked the dish, based on the time my son said he would be on his training mission. Once he arrived in the desert, he connected the dish to the camp generator, and was up and running in a matter of minutes (the dish is sitting next to his tent). He sent me speed test, which showed he was getting 340 Mbps, from space and in the middle of nowhere. Cool thing was, those guys who had WiFi calling on there phones were able to connect to the wireless router and make and receive calls, where traditional service wasn't available. Absolutely cool technology!

It's awesome! Have had it for around 6 months now. Just waiting for a more mobile version so we can take one with us in the camper. Will be a game changer to those who work remotely traveling.

Starlink launches version 2.0 of their satellites while Amazon struggles and sues because they can't compete. I was lucky to get Starlink at my new place, and it's way better than my old Spectrum Cable, and I live in the middle of farmland. Now everyone who lives out of town is always asking me how to get signed up.

No offense to whoever added the music track, but it could be half volume and give better enjoyment so I can hear the speaker more clearly.

Could you imagine, with this new tech you could be far in the darkest regions of the north pole and your internet would be just as capable as the internet available in big cities! Not to mention modern internet is uniquely vulnerable because it has data routing centers that are uniquely vulnerable. Elons internet will never have that problem.

I am one of the Beta testers mentioned in this video and i LOVE my starlink. Where i live internet was very bad and expensive. Starlink fixed that problem for me.

FYI Laser light travels faster in the vacuum of space hence decreasing lag.

I'm loving Starlink after 25 years of crap satellite broadband. Good riddance Viashat. Thank you Spacex.

I think this is a serious time to effectively resolve the issues with space debris problem, as we are putting more satellites in the orbits.

I do love the idea of having 6 billion more potential customers online. I’ll only need a fraction of a fraction of the 6 billion to be doing very well for myself.

It is an amazing technology but what makes me sad is the loss of clear sky for astronomy for faster stock market subsecond trading speculations. Stock market will become even less robust and ran purely by algorithms sucking money of of nothing.

I imagine looking at the sky seeing lasers bouncing of the satellites, with the dial-up sound fading in the background :)

It will be interesting to see how Government interventions limit the deployment of this amazing tech. I know for example that the Australian Government is currently limiting where SL can provide services to (geographically) in Australia, which massively blows, Its just the government blocking a better product to its own NBN Skymuster satellite service. If it wasn't a government it would be in court for anticompetitive practices.

At 1:20 you say a satalaite was launched with the name "Titan" when the graphic quite clearly states the name to be "Tintin". Am I getting something wrong here?

hi, about 0:50 during the video, you mentioned about the laser communications, and add this hardware feature in the spacecraft, when you say "spacecraft", do you mean the "starship"? sorry I'm really curious about the progress of this technology pieces.

Not Titan. TinTin. As in the comic series by the same name.
