Join us for The Pearl's Gullah Geechee International Museum of Fine Arts, History, and Healing Preservation Center's Soft Opening on June 18th, Juneteenth weekend This is a free event that will be held from 1 pm - 5 pm, located at 805 Oyster Park Drive, Suite #33 in the Sea Islands of Edisto SC 29438.

This event promises to be a memorable cultural experience with captivating Gullah Geechee creative arts, music, language, and, of course, irresistible Gullah cuisine. You'll have the unique opportunity to connect with the Gullah Geechee community, whose traditions span back to early America's roots and have greatly impacted the authentic history of Gullah Geechee.

To top it off, the fun doesn't stop there - visitors will also be entered into free prizes raffle giveaways throughout the event! And don't forget DJ RAV T from Charlotte, NC, who will keep the party going with amazing beats. Other highlights of the day include the Gullah Geechee Gospel singing, performances by Larry Robinson, Lullaby Lettie, and a special "Don't make me tell my Grand momma" session.

The schedule of events for the soft opening of The Pearl's Gullah Geechee International Museum Preservation Center of Fine Arts, History, and Healing on June 18th, Sunday Juneteenth weekend:

1:00 PM - The event begins with a welcome ceremony that includes a prayer, song, and blessing of the building.

1:30 PM - DJ Rav V starts spinning tunes for the crowd, playing music throughout the event until the sun sets over the Atlantic Ocean.

2:00 PM - Free raffles begin with many chances to win Gullah Geechee prizes and gifts throughout the evening. Everyone is a winner!

2:30 PM - Uncle Geechee takes the stage as the MC speaker.

3:00 PM - Guided tours of the museum are available, providing visitors with a chance to learn about Gullah Geechee culture and history from an authentic full-blooded Gullah GeeChi, Ishi Barbenyah.

4:00 PM - Live entertainment featuring local performers and artists takes place.

4:30 PM - A big surprise awaits as a life union wedding proposal takes place, with a perfect diamond ring as the gift. Will she say yes or no? It's sure to be a beautiful moment you do not want to miss.
The story must be told, and Gullah Jack will tell the dangerous Gullah Geechee Tale of Love the true story of real black love.

5:00 PM - The event concludes with a closing ceremony that includes a thank-you message from the organizers and a final song from the GG gospel choir singers.

Throughout the event, attendees can enjoy free giveaways of Gullah Geechee gifts, prizes, food, and drinks, including red rice and fried fish.
