The schedule of events for the soft opening of The Pearl's Gullah Geechee International Museum Preservation Center of Fine Arts, History, and Healing on June 18th, Sunday Juneteenth weekend:
1:00 PM - The event begins with a welcome ceremony that includes a prayer, song, and blessing of the building.
1:30 PM - DJ Rav V starts spinning tunes for the crowd, playing music throughout the event until the sun sets over the Atlantic Ocean.
2:00 PM - Free raffles begin with many chances to win Gullah Geechee prizes and gifts throughout the evening. Everyone is a winner!
2:30 PM - Uncle Geechee takes the stage as the MC speaker.
3:00 PM - Guided tours of the museum are available, providing visitors with a chance to learn about Gullah Geechee culture and history from an authentic full-blooded Gullah GeeChi, Ishi Barbenyah.
4:00 PM - Live entertainment featuring local performers and artists takes place.
4:30 PM - A big surprise awaits as a life union wedding proposal takes place, with a perfect diamond ring as the gift. Will she say yes or no? It's sure to be a beautiful moment you do not want to miss.
