Hey just letting everyone know that my speculation about her partner was incorrect, she stopped being vegan before they met. However, my concern about gut issues was the case. Keep those guts goochy if you can!

I am a 78 year old retired general contractor...I will celebrate 30 years as an ethical vegan early next month. I have never had a problem with being vegan. I have had injuries, cancer, alcoholism, drug addictions, and lots of problems in life, but I have never even thought about giving up being vegan. I love where it has taken me. She comes off as someone who adopts views that benefit her. And once they are no longer benefitting her, not getting what she wants then they are in her way. In a sense, a bit infantile personality. Common occurrence on youtubers.

This is such a BS! Being vegan these days is so easy. I never even think about it. Even when I meet with non-vegan friends, they are used to it and they will always have some foods for me or we pick a restaurant where all of us can find something. It's been 13 years, and I still think it's one of the best decisions in my life. And YES! one person can make a huge difference!! I love the reference to the matrix. I feel like when I went vegan I was like woken up from a trance. And everything started making sense. I will never plug back into the matrix. I’m good with my veggies.

Im a vegan who read The Vegetarian by Han Kang. Trust me, the book absolutely frames the society around the main character as the problem much more than her own vegetarianism. It’s a critique of conformist culture in Korea.

Quitting veganism because you have a new non-vegan partner is such a lame excuse. I've been vegan for 8 years and I've been with my non-vegan wife that whole time

Nicholas Winston only saved 669 children from the Natzi's. He could have said it was too hard and he didn't save the world and just give up but no he stood by his resolve and did as much as he could personally. I feel we are doing the same thing. We aren't perfect but just trying and getting it right some or most of the time is all that matters. We do our best. I truly hope that she eventually gets to a place in her life to give veganism another try., I certainly wouldn't look down upon her if she were to try again. After all we are all just trying in this life, we simply need to remember to just try to do the best that we can.

Honestly she's highly intelligent and I genuinely think that she's fallen so far from who she is because she's really lost. Despite what she's tried to convince herself of, I think subconsciously she's letting the societal pressure get to her of what kind of life a woman in her 30s should have (successful career etc.) I think living in the US away from what she's used to, only in Florida because of her partner not because she wants to live there, not having a steady job & unsure what direction to take...I think it's all finally caught up with her. I always loved her videos & she was so so intelligent, I really hope this is a blip & she comes back to herself. She used to come across as super secure & self assured & now she seems incredibly insecure with low self esteem & quite severe depression and anxiety. I hope she finds her way again. I think it's a classic case of being in a foreign country and latching onto your partner in an unhealthy way.
