Not to be a killjoy, but based on this series's track record, I don't think retiring will keep Basira safe.

Basira: * kinda shocked, traumatized, but tells John her story anyway *
John: But what about the tapes

It’s grimly amusing that the officers assigned to supernatural cases are “sectioned officers.” On my side of the pond, “sectioned” means “involuntarily sent to a mental hospital.”

Me listen to this podcast who struggles with differentiating voices and can’t remember names of people or anything else for that matter: I’m spinning like a ballerina

I wonder if Robert Montauk's killings way back in "A Father's Love" were actually to mystically protect Julia from what would have been a similar abduction.

I loved Basira so much but I'm lowkey happy she quit. She deserves betterrrr

again, jon getting sloppy, mentioning getting gertrudes tapes on the main recording instead of the supplement

I get the feeling that even though Basira might quit the police, there's no escaping the supernatural... but at least she won't be duty-bound to seek it anymore :s

I do think John is right that something about being a part of the institute protects him, because I remember from the Prentis attack the worms got significantly slowed in the archive. Maybe Elias’s “I really don’t want to have to fire you” was also a “I really don’t want for you to end up dead”. Also pretty sure the supplemental is somehow related to the hidden battle that seems to be going on under the surface. Actually maybe the protection given to the Archive is related to one of the supernatural sides being heavily involved with it, and is using it to combat the other sides. (I’m a new listener btw, no spoilers).

When he said “end supplement” without us having heard anything from Martin I yelled “WHERE IS MY SPECIAL BOY” and my dog came running 😂

So I'm a bit late to the party, but I've been listening to each season and then going back and listening again to make a big long list of everyone ever mentioned in the series, and I think Callum Brodie is probably the son of Caroline Brodie. Who might she be? The ex-wife of Philip Brown who guarded Robert Montauk and saw Rayner when he visted.
