The spinnerbait has save me alot of times out on the water when nothing else work. Definitely retrieve speed is important and use a trailer hook is a must

There's something about the spinnerbait strike that makes it addictive to fish. The Accent river special spinnerbait he was using is a good one. They only last a few fish though because the wire is so thin but they put out tremendous vibration.

I find that pulsing or pumping the spinner bait helps trigger strikes. I also feel I have most strikes on a fast or slow retrieve. A neutral speed hasn't seemed as productive.

Trailer vs. trailer hook? I've heard good arguments for each. What's your preference and why?

Green and yellow works best for me because my lake has a lot of sunfish

I use a 7.5:1 retrieve reel for these. Not because I want to reel really fast, but because I use it for buzzbaits as well. I don't have a different rod for every type bait in my box. And why turn the crank more times than you have to in a day?
