Grégory Breton of the global wild cat conservation group Panthera and his colleagues spotted the three young felines as they drove through the Moroccan Sahara in the dark early morning. They believe the kittens to be six to eight weeks old. Sand cats are hard to spot because their fur blends in with their surroundings and their tracks are barely visible.

Imagine such cuteness never once being petted. It's hard to fathom.

Researchers believe this is the first time YouTube suggestions were actually worth it.

That wide-eyed, open, innocent fascination with everything in the big wide world is baby feline. Makes my heart melt every single time.

The sand cat should be happy, because they have a big litter box

As cute and adorable as they are, we should leave them in the wild and admire from a distance.

its amazing to see how little cats have changed (in appearance, anyway) through human domestication. i mean take a dog and compare it to a wolf, in most (not all) cases theres a massive difference. if i saw one of these guys i would assume it was a normal domesticated cat, if you told me it was a wild cat i'd be astonished.

I live in a deserted country and I see this cat very often. Its behavior is kinda different from normal stray cats. It’s very persistent about hiding inside your car engine and often isn’t scared of humans lol.

Their facial expressions & behaviour is exactly the same as the six-week old kittys we rescued last week.😊❤❤❤. Cats are stellar animals - whatever their genus.😊❤

They may look cute and fluffy but don't let that cuteness fool you, they too want to take over the world and create a Feline Kingdom just like all other cats.

A sand kitten has everything I want in a cat:
- Floofy
- Big ears an eyes
- it's smol
- will grow into a remorseless and effective killing machine
- Relaxes like a loaf of bread
