Conflicting religions fill the world. Doctrines about God contradict one another. No one denies the diversity of religions and the apparent incompatibility of their core beliefs. Many believe only their own religion to be the truth. Some claim all religions reflect the same truth. Others assert that differing dogmas expose the emptiness of all religion.

3500 religions and even more gods. Do the math. Common themes? Dracula movies has commonality. Doesn’t make the mythological vampires real.

No, but it is quite possible for them to all be wrong.

Sooo we just pick the language we’re more familiar with but we’re thinking of and feeling the same sensations?

I think the question should be "can ANY religion be true" considering that the majority of them require followers to believe in magic and to ignore common sense and logic.

I question why each religion just happens too be culturally specific.
Which seems to be all too convenient.

All Religions can't be right, but all Religions can be wrong.

"Can Many Religions All Be True?"
With a bit a lying, and twisting, and selective reading, etc... of course, why not?

Very deceptive/seductive apologetics - sure we can all get along in our different ways. Do not see it practiced this way in the world out there. If only it was.

His suit still fits well after he's bent himself into an irrational pretzel.

But yet, why do some HAVE to believe that there is a God at all? Why do some insist there there HAS TO BE something rather than nothing? Is it a core, deep down personal belief based on experience or is it just something culturally passed down from generation to generation - a kind of "well, this is how it's always been done, because it's tradition?"

One thing they all have in common is the certainty that all the others are wrong.

No, and stop drumming up stupid ploys such as "Is true?" Is water true?

The One True Faith just happens to be the one the person you ask follows.

It's easier to believe that no religions are true.

Everything in this life you can find original and false.
So, you have to search and find the original one.
The way to find the right/original religion is by wanting with your heart and then asking God for guidance.

In this immense universe, some Gods forbid us not to eat pork, but incapable to solve the eternal puzzle: which religion is true, if there is, and which one is a bs (maybe all of them)? This type of Gods sadly take pleasure of seeing humans; Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, etc ... struggling/fighting each other on this ultimate fair question. So my question is: are these Gods sadistic if they exist OR simply, humans need Gods and want to believe that Gods exist ? Btw, is there a God of Gods? ... that sounds a old bs, right?
