Breaking In The 8000rpm Turbo MIATA At THE DRAGON! POV!

The Miata has been on the back burner for quite a bit, and I’m really excited to get the car out and break in the new engine. It’s a full piston and rod built VVTI block with a 99 head and cams. We opted for a twin scroll short runner, manifold, and Evo 10 turbo and we upgraded the intake manifold to skunk2 for power up top. The engine pulls all the way to 8000 RPM and I’m really excited to share some content of us running up the mountain. It’s really rare to get a clean run and we made it almost all the way with no traffic POV style.

Absolutely no way my wife would be on the computer or chilling while I was driving like that. Props to Chel-she for being a real deal race wife

Nice....Now we need a breakdown of what you did to G-Maw's Miata to turn it into this little ripper, including details on the suspension setup and what weight springs you have now and what you might change them to. 🤗

The Dragon is like 30 mins away from where I live, man the Smokey Mountains really do have some great driving roads! 💯💪🏽💯

The tail of the dragon is probably the most gnarly road in America.
The first time I went there I was with a group of motorcycles, (cruisers, not crotch rocket) and the bolt that held my foot peg was completely ground off, and the foot peg was ground down too.
The people there know to pull off out of the way from those that are trying to rip.
What a great road.

Love the Miata content. Just built a 1750 pound 2" roof chopped supercharged miata for drifting, . I participated in some of the first events here in America in a 240sx (that still lives on with Rapper Dan) with all the OG pro drifters but then quit to go back spec miata racing.

Poor turbo, no blow-off valve....

Is what someone who doesn't respect the stututu would say 🤘
Also, that thing is grippy as hell. Well done.

That's gotta be the perfect BOV for a miata the thing sounds somewhere between pigeon noises and blowing bubbles with a straw. It's perfect for such a cheery car
