Im enjoying the quotes at the end of each video. It reminds me of my junior year of high school when I was taking 4 APs and 2 honors, and wanted to give up. Thats when my dad told me glaza bayatza, rooki dzelyootz, which is a russian quote meaning the eyes are afraid, yet the hands do all the work. I finished with a 5.0 gpa that semester

Don't know what I'd do without you. Couldn't be better explained.

For anyone who find this video in the future and get confused: For an elliptical Cone, the HORIZONTAL traces (z=c) are ELLIPSES! VERTICAL traces (x=c or y=c) in the planes x=c and y =c are HYPERBOLAS IF c does NOT 0! If c = 0 then they're A PAIR OF LINES! hope this helps!

truly speaking you are good, actually your videos are fantastic, problem is you separate the planes, make one plane please

WOW! you've got amazing videos :) You fill what PatrickJMT doesn't have in his tutorial!

You say that 2 of the traces are hyperbolas, but they are straight lines. Aren't hyperbolas curved.

+airbornmtnbiker he doesn't graph it as a hyperbola because I don't think it is one. Hyperbolas are in the form of x^2/a^2 + y^2/b^2 =1, not 0.

Thanks a lot I couldn't understand why it was a point since it looked like an elipse, know I know it depends on the value of y
