During the pandemic, Americans experienced food shortages due to the impact on the world's vulnerable supply chain. While that situation has somewhat recovered, another global event could make that recent experience the new normal.

Two experts warn a brewing battle between the United States and China over control of the world's food supply could become such an event.

This new war is happening right now – without armies or any shots being fired. It's a global struggle with deadly consequences. Who will dominate the world food supply?

The USA need to wake up as a country and we need to come together to stop relying on exporting main products essential for life from other countries because it is cheaper. The government needs to start taking a larger hand in food distribution. Not all Americans are obese. I have seen hungry children in America, and what disgusts me the most is that our country has a lot of food, so really it is from a mismanagement of resources. There was a girl that was in first grade with me that would eat strange things like soap. I was horrified to later find out that she was eat things that were not food because she was not getting enough food. It still horrifies me to this day.

I never heard USA 🇺🇸 having any food shortages or problems. This’s first time I’m hearing in my adult life. I think this’s more like politics rather than a true solution for world poor. I feel until now Africa was starving not because it didn’t have fertile land rather it was political strategy used to starve them for domination. We’ve to work for world peace and unity not power competition and punishing the poor.

Then USA dominates Canada with Walmart and the supply chain for it.

Then most of the products are USA and foreign.

Even the meat companies are bought foreign.

Canada bread is China.

Tims was always USA and then they were forced to used Fiera aka China as a main bakery for them.

Food additives are mostly USA but copied by China and others. Tims Cream will be different from Mcdonalds even though USA own both. Silk will be USA but will have an additive in it for coffee enhancement in their coffee chains for the product supplied to them.

China already dominated world food supply, China produces like 50% total agriculture produce with like 6% of world arable land

Raise tariffs against Smithfield another 25% on outgoing exports ! This will teach them to not forget about where they get the pork from.
