The SHOCKING END of QAWM TUBBA: Quranic Story
WHO WERE THE PEOPLE OF TUBBAʿ? THEIR SHOCKING END REVEALED!

🌟 "Are they better, or the people of Tubbaʿ and those before them? We destroyed them, for they were sinners." (Sūrat al-Dukhān, 37) 🌟

The People of Tubbaʿ—a civilization lost in time, yet mentioned in the Qur'an. Who were they? What made them so powerful? And why did Allah destroy them? ❗

📜 The Tubbaʿ Kings ruled over a prosperous kingdom in South Arabia, flourishing with trade, agriculture, and military strength. They were wealthy, influential, and thought they were invincible. But their arrogance and misguidance led them to a tragic fate. ⚡

🏰 A POWERFUL KINGDOM, A FORGOTTEN PEOPLE

The Himyarite Kingdom, ruled by the Tubbaʿ Kings, was one of the greatest civilizations of its time. Their capital, Zafar, was filled with grand palaces, temples, and bustling markets. Their armies were strong, their trade routes were vast, and they controlled much of southern Arabia. But power alone was not enough to save them. ❌

📜 A KING WHO BELIEVED, A NATION THAT REJECTED

One of the Tubbaʿ Kings was a true believer in Allah! ✨ 700 years before Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was born, he embraced monotheism, built a house for the Prophet ﷺ in Madīnah, and left behind a mysterious letter predicting the coming of Islam. When the Prophet ﷺ received this letter centuries later, he smiled 😊 and praised the Tubbaʿ King’s faith.

But his people did not believe. They clung to their idols, turned away from Allah’s guidance, and fell into corruption and oppression. Their stubbornness sealed their fate. 🚨

❗ HOW DID ALLAH DESTROY THE PEOPLE OF TUBBAʿ?

Despite warnings from prophets, the people of Tubbaʿ ignored the truth. Allah sent signs of destruction:
🔥 Fierce storms covered the skies in darkness.
🌊 Floods swept away their cities.
🌍 Earthquakes shattered their land.
☄️ Fire rained from the heavens, reducing their kingdom to ashes.

By the morning, nothing was left but ruins. The once mighty nation had been completely erased from history.

🛑 WHAT LESSONS CAN WE LEARN?

The fall of the People of Tubbaʿ teaches us powerful lessons:
✅ Wealth without gratitude leads to destruction. 💰❌
✅ Strength without righteousness is meaningless. 💪⚖️
✅ No empire lasts forever without faith and justice. 🏰⚠️
✅ Ignoring divine guidance has severe consequences. ☝️🔥

The Qur’an reminds us:
"Indeed, We have presented every kind of example in this Qur’an so that people may reflect and take heed." (Sūrat al-Zumar, 27)

REFERENCES:

Many people asked us references, here is all documents about Tubba King and Letter to Prophet Muhammad (SAW):

The Prophet Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam is reported to have said:

"Do not speak ill of Tubba‘, for he became a Muslim."
"Do not insult As‘ad al-Himyari, for he was the first to clothe the Ka‘bah."
These narrations are recorded in Musnad (V, 340) and M. Husayn al-Farah (I, 129, 147; II, 645-658).

According to a narration, Abu Karib As‘ad once stayed in Makkah for six days. During this time, he saw in a dream that he was covering the Ka‘bah with a cloth. The next day, he clothed it with the same fabric he had seen in his dream. The following night, he had another dream, where he saw himself covering it with a different fabric, so he replaced the covering with that material. On the third night, he saw yet another type of covering, and he did the same.

This is why he became known as the first person to cover the Ka‘bah (Ibn Hishām, as-Sīrah an-Nabawiyyah, I, 19-20; Tajrid Translation, VI, 45).

Some sources state that Abu Karib lived 700 years before the Prophet Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam and believed in him in absentia (Ibn Qutaybah, p. 60). Other narrations suggest that he was a believer in the Zabūr, where he found descriptions of the Prophet Muhammad (M. Husayn al-Farah, II, 647).

Later, this letter was passed down to Abu Ayyūb al-Ansārī, who eventually gave it to the Prophet Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam.

Upon reading the letter, the Prophet Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said:
"Welcome, O righteous brother!" and honored him with his greetings (Samhūdī, pp. 340-342, 354).

The Last Ruler of the Tubbā‘ Dynasty: Dhū Nuwās and the Fall of the Himyarite Kingdom
The last ruler of the Tubbā‘ period, Dhū Nuwās, converted to Judaism and attempted to force the local Christians to abandon their faith (See: Ashāb al-Ukhdūd).

After the fall of the Tubbā‘ dynasty, Yemen came under Abyssinian rule (C. Zaydān, p. 141-145).

Some scholars suggest that the Tubbā‘ mentioned in the Qur’ān refers to the people of Saba (M. Husayn al-Ferrah, I, 129).

The Qur’ān mentions Saba twice:

In Surah an-Naml (27:20-44), describing the Queen of Saba visiting Prophet Sulaymān.
In Surah Saba (34:15-21), where the people of Saba were led astray by Shaytān, turned away from worshipping Allah, and were punished with a great flood.
The destruction of the people of Tubbā‘ in the Qur’ān could also be referring to:

The flood that destroyed the Sabaean people.
The end of the Himyarite Kingdom and the failed attack on the Ka‘bah by Abraha, whose army was destroyed in Makkah.

May the people of Gaza and Palestine be rewarded with the Seventh Heaven along with many others because reverts are also oppressed. The time you’re on earth. Is very short compared to an eternity and we should always stay positive.. we should continue to tell the non-Muslims of the true religion, whether they accept it or not. Let us learn from history because history repeats itself.

Many people asked us references, here is all documents about Tubba King and Letter to Prophet Muhammad (SAW):

Some sources mention that Abu Karib As‘ad ruled Saba between 703-669 BCE and that inscriptions refer to him as the "King of Saba, Dhū Raydān, Hadramawt, Yamanat, Najd, and Tihāmah." It is said that he clothed the Ka‘bah with a covering, and there is debate over whether he was a prophet or a king. Ibn ‘Abbas claimed that he was a prophet, while Ka‘b considered him a king.

The historian Samhūdī, known for his works on the history of Madinah, records that the house of Abu Ayyūb al-Ansārī in Madinah was originally built by the first Tubba‘ for the Prophet Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam.

According to this narration, the first Tubba‘ arrived in Yathrib 700 years before the Hijrah. When he was informed that a prophet would emerge there, he built a house for him and left a letter.

In the letter, he expressed his faith in the Prophet and asked for his intercession on the Day of Judgment.

As a result, King Kaleb of Abyssinia allied with the Byzantine Emperor Justin I and waged war against Dhū Nuwās, ultimately destroying the Himyarite Kingdom.

After the fall of the Tubbā‘ dynasty, Yemen came under Abyssinian rule (C. Zaydān, p. 141-145).

Tubbā‘ in the Qur’ān and the Fate of His People
The Qur’ān mentions various nations that were destroyed due to their sins and rejection of prophets. These include:

The people of Nūh
Ashāb ar-Rass
The people of Thamūd
The people of ‘Ād
The followers of Fir‘awn
The brothers of Lūt
Ashāb al-Aykah
The people of Tubbā‘
The identity of the people of Tubbā‘ and the period of their destruction depends on who the Tubbā‘ ruler was at that time.
