Really appreciate the video and the friend sharing his honest experience. These types of videos are surprising hard to find on social media now.

And as a person who used to work at Costco, you can return it 15 years later with no receipt and no recollection of when you bought it. I don’t know if that’s true for every Costco but I still have nightmares about working at the returns desk.

Great video! Useful to consider how these saunas age without thermally modified wood or a roof. Regardless, the best sauna is the one you have and use regularly so it's all good. Glad you're still getting good temps after four years.

For more even temps, there are barrels with upper benches. A Saunum heater would redistribute the hottest air from the ceiling and blend it with fresh air at floor level. It's a game changer but pricey.

The one hour timer thing is a UL rule. That's also why most heaters have a max of 194°F at the temperature sensor location above the heater. HUUM heaters can go for 12 hrs with a max temp of 230°F.

Wi-Fi enabled heaters do exist and are becoming the norm, even with this same heater. Let me know if we can help with anything or team up on future videos! Keep up the good heat.

I spend 8 to 12 hours a day in that working my booty off I work in a commercial bakery with a oven that's a big as some people's homes and a proof box that's just as big has super poor ventilation.... avg temp if it's 70-80 outside is 150 at 75-90% humidity yes lol sometimes it does rain in there literally if the temp outside is 90-100 it becomes hard for most people to work cause the temperature is 190-215 our brk room is usually filled with people on the verg of passing out so we have to over staff on days the temp outside is hot it's kinda crazy tbh especially with all the super physical positions there are to do before working here I had no idea what the body was capable of

I bought an almost heaven cabinlike sauna. the kit arrives. took forever to unload and was in european metrics. hired two contractors and now it has mold in various spots forming. It constantly leaks heat and guests complain it doesnt get hot enough. I have major warping problems with the wood and I am 22k in :(

Costco's sauna vs a thermal treated wood sauna is about a $1500 difference (thermal wood setup includes roof shingle kit). Would it be worth it to spend the extra money for thermal treated wood + roof kit? Been considering the Costco sauna and waiting for it to go on sale to make the $$$ gap even bigger...

Yeah his point about remote turn on is good. If you get a 120V two person sauna, you can power it with a smart switch and remotely turn it on before you get home.

I have this exact sauna. Mine is a little older than a year now. The rain jacket from Almost Heaven was a game changer for me. It helped seal the cracks in the wood and it’s much easier to get it up to about 210 degrees with it than it was without it.

240 Volts is just two 120v wires ran in parelel, itIt runs off the same panal as all other appliances. 3 phase would bet another story.

Back in 2009, I only paid $850 (with free shipping) for my hemlock ceramic heater infrared 1 - 2 person sauna... and it's still heating up great!!!! Just looked at the $6, 000 price tag on this one and I'm jealous of myself!!!

Being that it’s outdoors, they don’t include roof shingles?

3000USD for just electrician to connect everything? Wow, that is about how much all the electrical installation including materials cost me in my house build.

I have had this same sauna for a couple years and I like it. I use it a few times a week.

You can create a roof with corrugated metal if you want to protect it from the elements a bit more.
I also stained the exterior of mine with linseed oil, and I spray some diluted vinegar and lightly pressure wash to remove mildew about once a year.

My biggest complaint is also the lack of a remote start. Potentially there's some way to hook up a smart button presser to turn the knob, but I haven't cared enough to figure it out yet.

Is there a online training site that you’d recommend? Currently training for a half marathon, but would like to also get into some triathlon stuff, but don’t know how to create a good regimen for it.

Have a sales call set up with Sisu tomorrow on their newer models coming. However wanted your opinion on quality since I can’t see any of these saunas in person. Redwood Outdoors, Sisu, or Plunge? I’m also someone that likes to lay down. Def feel like this Almost Heaven sauna if stained and having a roof installed could keep up over time.
