Truth! I just successfully setup my domain name last week! A week ago, I have it all running smooth. Today I'm flodded with calls about my domain. My domain is my personal domain and i do not intended to be shared to just anyone. I'm looking into making my domain private.

I too didn't see the need to pay extra for private registration until like you, I was getting hammered with unsolicited phone calls, texts and e-mails.

Eventually...they tail off but it is incredibly annoying since I handle everything for my website, including design, SEO, etc.

So yes...domain private registration is definitely worth the few extra dollars.

Google Domains comes with free private registration.

If you are trading in the UK or the EU you may not be able to hide your registration information, private domain registration is usually only permitted for non trading individuals in the UK and EU.

It goes on for around a month then they stop. Just make sure you tell them you handle your websites yourself

I believe Google Domains still has free private registration. I used them last time and I’ll use them again.

Try being a Realtor. I get 3-5 calls a day from people trying to sell me subscriptions to lead services.

Do you know if there's a way to get your information OFF a domain history once you've done this? I made this mistake and I'm so stressed out about it. For $49 anyone can look up my domain history and find my real name, address, phone number, email address.

Can you change your home address at a later date on your domain and will the old address show up or be found once up dated?
