great idea but now I need to include a fee on the job for "bit removal" - why does this have to be so hard ????

Pliers is how I have been removing them - which I thought was just me being frustrated. I thought it was some kind of puzzle I just wasn't smart enough to figure out.

Solid grip sure. The pivot is nice. But the hard shell bit pack doesn't come with the pliers or a gripper to make them operate. And there's no instructions or indication of what you're supposed to do.

It is crazy to require pliers to change a screw bit. Dewalt NEED to include a pair of pliers in the package.

The collar slides up over the ring, which I think enables you to pull it out with bare fingers. I got that to work for about 5 minutes. Next time I tried, I couldn’t make it work. I’ll keep trying; maybe there is a trick to it.

I got one of these a few months ago when they first came out here in the UK. It lasted less than a day before i took it back to where i bought it and got me a refund. Today i bought another one from the same store and the ring on the inside of the bit holder has been removed, no groove at all for the retaining ring. So it look's like Dewalt listened to the customer. Same price as well.

My bits can be changed without needing any other tool, just pulls out with 2 fingers, maybe they updated it👍🏻

The dumbest design on the planet .. I needed to put it on a vice to get out the bit that is in it when you buy it
