An important thing to remember with so many security camera clips is that consumer-grade security cameras generally *suck* and are using tech from over a decade ago. They will bleed old images and drop dozens of frames all the time, causing all sorts of weird footage that you often see on "ghost caught on camera" type things.

For people who can't tell the difference between ghost and ghast. a ghost is something that wears a white bed sheet and yells BOO!, a ghast is a big crying white cube that shoots fireballs at you. hope that helps :D

Assuming my entire family isn't lying to me, I've got a cool story from my Dads side of the family. So when my dad was little, his grandfather died and his grandmother moved in with him. When that happened, weird things started happening. You'd hear someone walking around in the hall or on the stairs but no ones there. You'd watch door knobs turn and the door open but again, no ones there. They've had people over, who didn't know of these weird events, often say, "is there someone else here?" because they felt watched or were hearing things. This continued for like at most 20 years, ended just before I was born, and all that time my dad only saw the ghost once. He said it was a figure of a man. Once his grandma died, it all stopped. They theory is it was his grandfather watching and waiting for his wife to pass. I'm 25 now, never felt or experienced anything in that house when we visit or stay over.

For the one with the dogs, they aren't necessarily the best at telling if there's a ghost or something. My dog gets scared and barks at so many really stupid objects, it's crazy.

My place has random footsteps on the roof too. Unfortunately it's just the people taking care of the roof of this row house. Still pretty spooky.

You just don't get spooked by random noises anymore when you've got two cats.
