My mum used to work in an old Victorian convent retirement home. One very old lady was always complaining she could hear a baby crying from her room. Whenever anyone else went in they could hear nothing. She continued to complain that someone should do something to help the poor baby who was obviously not being cared for properly. Eventually the lady died and her room became vacant. They were all gobsmacked when the next lady to occupy the room started complaining about a baby she could hear crying all the time !!!!.

I used to be a care worker going into people's homes to give personal care. I have felt "the presence" on several occasions. Usually it feels like it's protecting the person, one actually felt so protective it was a tremendous feeling of pressure. It's a tangible presence because you don't go in thinking about it. It lets you know it's there.

I work in a nursing home that is located close to a building dating from the 1600's . This old building has a reputation for being haunted ( they do ghost hunts regularly and even had a well known group investigate ) . Tunnels from this building run under our nursing home . We are very haunted and have had dozens of stuff happen over the last 35 years since the home has been here . Shadow people, loud bangs, stuff being thrown about and full body apparations . More stuff even than that . We actually find it pretty interesting but I don't think I would be too keen to do a night shift lol

Having worked/lived in pubs for most of my career, it doesn't hold any surprise that many of these old buildings hold 'memories'. The liveliest I ever worked in was the 17th century Kings Head in Thatcham, Newbury back in the early 1980s. I can tell you, I wouldn't stay a night again in there if you paid me. Her name... Molly Hannish/ Hanish. I hope you are resting in peace now Molly!

When they heard the noise and she went and looked out the window into inky blackness while lights were on all over the house, that is the point that I would be closing some curtains. Supernatural or not, I'm not leaving my window curtains open after dark so anyone passing can see into my well lit house. Also there's no way I'm opening my door and stepping foot outside. I'm staggered that ghosts haven't been proved to exist yet. I've had my own experiences but they've all been too unexpected and brief to capture. They are clearly aware of us and have enough 'energy' to move things. I regularly slept on a sofa in the living room of my first flat due to a very strong feeling of evil in the bedroom. I've since had the same feeling in more recent incidents but a lot milder, more like despair, so I wonder if the feeling of evil others have felt too is actually deep, deep despair. It's all very strange.

When I was a kid back in 73, my parents bought a creepy old 23 room victorian house in the historical district of Dayton Ohio. Activity started the very night we moved in and as time went on it got worse. We put the house up for sale asap. It didn't sell for 6 mo and by the end of that time here we were a family of 5 sleeping in the same bedroom in bunk beds with the dog back under the bed with her head stuck out, her hair standing straight up and growling. I don't tell many ppl what happened in that house but it became down right dangerous the last 4 mo or so that we were there. I would have never believed in the paranormal had it not happened to me but now I have no choice.
