For planting in ground. People can use manures. But the best thing to do is before wanting to plant. Plan ahead, dig trench along where you plan on growing, then go fishing. We don't have carp where I live. But there's Barracuda. Catch shit loads to put in those trenches. Then add your Bunny, cow, horse, compost dirt mixed with Shredded Cardboard, news paper over top of that, then put the dirt you dug out of trench over top. You will have well fertilized soil that continues to break down, promotes keeping moisture, promotes worms to come to area which promotes airation of soil. If your in Florida, you should to it after every crop collection. New trench dug and repeat. I've literally dumpster dove at home Depot, got tons of Dirt, soil, wood chips, potting soil and mixed it into my garden soil non stop. Every wood BBQ I had, the ashes went into my plants, a fire pit ashes went in. I'd go to smoker BBQ places and offered to take their ashes daily, so it didn't take up their trash cans, that went into my soil. My egg shell bowl, ninja then the powder went in to soil. My Banana Peels went in . If my chickens didn't eat it, rabbits didn't, and it was organic, it went into compost for soil. But you have to do what mother nature does in replication, or your soil will get really drained. It's sad, but animals to pass away. It's a natural process. All that use to be consumed by other animals and bugs, what was left went into the soil, making it fertile, grass and weeds and so on would grow, die and make it fertile. Trees would grow, drop leaves and fruits and make it fertile. We need to try to replicate mother nature the best we can. You will never organically over fertilize. So before really putting your plants down, you need to work on soil first. Always remember to give your soil the best care before looking to plant.

The warmth and rain over the past week has really helped my tomato plants grow. Time to get the pruning shears out.

My tomatoes have exploded in the last few weeks because of all the rain and need pruning in a bad way. Thanks for this video! Very timely.

Thank you so much for the video. Great information, easy to understand. I would have liked to have seen your plumbing that directs the water up and down the rows. I am just starting out, so I could use more information on the types and sizes of valves and water line to move water around. I liked the part of the video showing the sprinkler head near the plants. I have not seen that before in the local stores. Great information, thanks.

Another reason to prune the lower branches is if you live in rattlesnake country, you can see what’s lying under your plant.
Thanks for the video, Audrey!
