Rishi Explains: Apprenticeships

I recently announced a brand new bonus for employers to hire apprentices.

From August to January, any firm that hires a new young apprentice aged 16 to 24 will receive £2,000, while those that hire new apprentices aged 25 and over will be paid £1,500. In this video I explain how it all works.

The Apprentice rates are absolutely ridiculous. First they don't consider people that have to pay rent and bills etc, secondly they say the pay is so low because training is offered, however that training is done once a month and any job should have training included and most of them have (not only the one offered to the apprenticeships). Third most of the places have nothing to offer you, for example you can be only person working in marketing at the company without any input from the field. It is just ridiculous!

You need to give every each other opportunity to learn a skull, not only under 18 the parent some of us need skills so that we can get good jobs to buy house and look after our families as well
