Tucker from Electric Cycle Rider does a ride review on the 2023 Surron Ultra Bee ECR Stage 3 Electric Dirt Bike to reveal some of the best battery range of a Surron Ultra Bee yet.

In Stage 1, we gave the Surron Ultra Bee a set of KKE 21/18 wheels and tires, KKE sprocket, KKE pegs and ODI handlebars.

In Stage 2, we gave the Surron Ultra Bee an EBMX X-9000 Controller and ECR Factory Tuned Fork.

In this Stage 3 Surron Ultra Bee Build, we added the massive EBMX 80.5v 73Ah battery, totaling 5.9kWh of capacity. This Ultra Bee is showing some of the best battery range we’ve ever tested on any electric dirt bike. If you want the best battery range on your Surron Ultra Bee, this may be the upgrade for you.

The Surron Ultra Bee is the new member of the Surron electric dirt bike family. The bike has been popular for its size, weight and performance. Being that this is an extremely affordable electric dirt bike, it does need some modifications to make it competitive to other dirt bikes off road. We have been building our Ultra Bee in different stages for different riders and budgets.

5000+ dollars for the battery. Crazy!
So, with this set up, you’ve basically spent more than the stark Varg.

This battery seems to solve the range problem for most riders. At $5099 it's an insanely expensive upgrade (which doesn't include the cost of the controller), but it's good to see the range limitations being solved. Hopefully the price will come down over time on these batteries. I'm hoping to buy one of these within the next 6 months :)) can't wait for more content.

Upgrades are cool but $6500 bike with a $5000 battery is Stark
Varg Money.

Looking at the prices this looks like it's north of $14k for the bike + the parts! That's more than a stark varg! Is there any point going this route compared to just getting a varg? Still lighter & bit more range? What's the total weight at with the different wheels, suspension and battery? Thanks!

So the total cost of parts and bike is what? 15K? If Surron would build a bike like that they would probably sell it around 9-10k. 15K is an incredible amount of money.

I would like to see a comparison between your stage 2 Ultra bee and your KTM e-xc. With both now on 21"/18" and the modified suspension, they may be simaliar. Curious about the effects of weight, suspension and power differences.

this is the minimum amount of battery this bike should have from factory

Just curious, you said 20(?) miles with 50% so high 30miles till 10%. What was the total ride time did you get. 1-2 hours?

Could you run this battery with the stock controller to just take advantage of the range increase?

My Zero FX 7.2 gets about 35 miles when beating it hard off road. I'm surprised the bigger battery on the Ultra Bee doesn't get much more than that

I race moto and have been looking at one of these to cruise from the house as well as rip around the pits. At 6’3 the regular surron feels incredibly small, this thing seems perfect.

Jesus Christ. You could get a regular gas bike for the price of just that battery, and not have range or weight issues,

electric bikes will be much better by 2025- 6, still too pricey, lacking in range and -top speed for me. But defo gonna get an E bike.. for now still enjoy my 2 stroke 300...with a big smile

best battery range... They're the first, but the value for money is very poor. The interior is fine, but not incredible. And the price is way too high.

A shame the large battery is so expensive, hopefully they will be more affordable in the future so electric can go further without costing as much as two good gas bikes

Another fantastic video...the bike looks awesome if we had terrain and areas to ride in the North West of England I would buy it in a heart beat...but unfortunately we don't...so I would be using it mainly for Road and a little bit of green lanes...in the UK you can now get 2nd hand Zero DS for a similar price which seems to offer much more range and is suited more to Road, so I will probably go for that...but this bike with your upgrades looks incredible, so fast and whips round those trails. Gutted we don't have these on our backdoor! Your a lucky man! Thanks for updating

I was on the original list for the Varg but cancelled it after too many delays. My local dealer has one of these in stock and I'm pretty sure this is my next bike.
