How to program a simplex hotspot for multiple DMR networks using Raspberry Pi, Pi-Star & MMDVM

Ever wished you could use your simplex DMR hotspot to connect to multiple DMR networks? This video shows you how.

Folllow along and see how I configured DMR Gateway to access BrandMeister and DMR Plus from one hotspot.

Hi tried to follow you instructions, but when I go to DMR configuration section there is no mention of DMR+ or any of the further configuration lines, my hotspot was not made by me.

So in the dmrgateway section you don’t change anything. You just need to add either one zeros or two in zeros depending on the talk groups number. Since your using 7 numbers to identify a talk group.

Good video, well presented and explains the basics in a nice easy way. Just to note though, that the 4000 disconnect feature isn't fully implemented on DMR+ PhoenixF (though it maybe on other DMR+ servers). It does release a reflector, if you're connected to one, but it doesn't release a talkgroup. The disconnection is done automatically by the server after 15 minutes if you don't transmit to it.

Where you do the to 1 line, there is at the end. What is that? SO you have to re-code the radio Channels to 7-digit numbers? And you put them all in one Zone I suppose. (Talking about the Retevis RT3S.).

Hi, Do you need to edit the talkgroups in the code plug? I been asking in a group on FB and they are like you are over thinking it. Well I want it to work. lol
