Walkthrough of the 2023 AP Statistics FRQ #100

Last part I ran out of space but mentioned that the distribution of colder was skewed left thus having greater quantities of dissolved oxygen while the distribution of warmer was skewed right and having lower levels of dissolved oxygen.

Ooooops I did IQR on A and for the boxplot instead of min and max I did Q1 - 1.5*IQR and Q3 + 1.5*IQR. I also might have forgotten to mention outliers for part A. Also I spent so much time on this problem like 25 minutes lmao writing too much which gave me like no time to do the rest of the problems oopsies

Is it wrong if you say there were several low outliers in part a because I used the 1.5iqr and got a lot of low outliers

Isn’t the distribution bimodal, with one peak with the frequency of 13 and the next peak being the highest one?

Shouldn't your conclusion for the last part say colder water is healthier?

How come for the boxplot, we wouldn't end it at where Q3 + 1.5IQR is and not draw the asteriks that indicates outliers?

for the last part, i was being stupid and did nto include the "50% of the samples between 4.39 to 6.12" I'm probably not going to get points for it right

For b I drew the graph to have the right tail end at q3 + 1.5(iqr) which was around 8.835 b/c I thought box plot tails ended at q3 + 1.5(iqr) is that still ok?

I had a different question for number 1. It wasn’t this so I’m wondering if there was a different set for stats

part b is wrong you are supposed to use 1.5 * IQR

I used IQR for spread on A 😭 i did 1.5*iqr and found like a million outliere
