Jon Kent Superman In Love With A Transgender Hero

DC Comics have done plenty to make fans lose interest in Jon Kent as Superman. Absolute Power: Super Son really does take it to another level. It's apparent Jon Kent was in love with transgender hero Dreamer before they died. And that's just the tip of the iceberg of oddness in this comic. In an attempt to make it as gay as possible, several characters with no history with Jon Kent (like Drummer Boy and Galaxy) are randomly thrown in. Wes tries to unravel the mess of a story that is DC Comics Absolute Power: Super Son #1. Jon Kent Superman was in love with a transgender hero.

These people writing comics don't have any kind of real love relationship.
90% of people will accept any relationship in comics or movies when it is done with care and telling an actually good story.

Jon Kent is completely cooked as a character unless he gets retconned back to an 8 year old kid

This is the same as how the current X-Men are actually plant clones created by Krakoa. The real Jon Kent went into space with his grampa and never came back.

I can't believe it. Superboy actually falling in love with a trans woman. When i saw the title, i never laughed any harder than i ever did.

The DC clown car has careened off the road while Jim Lee sits in the back eating Twinkies.

Of course he was. Everyone will have been, eventually. Nothing matters anymore, canon is a thing of the past.

Jon Kent started like a promising character until Bendis come in and ruin him forever. Jon is now the guinea pig of bad writers with the worst modern tropes of comic book heroes. This is sad.

Let's be honest: twenty years from now, no one will look back on this era of storytelling with any fondness. It's essentially just horse shit, to put it bluntly.

His character is beyond broken by this point.

I never liked how the Supergirl show made Dreamer trans which absolutely makes no sense.

Wow. Pardon my language, but DC really makes it seem like they want Superman to take it up the ass.

Jon Kent is "bisexual" as long as both the men and women have balls.

Yea everyone wants to read that, great job DC.

Joshua Williamson and PKJ had been rehabilitating Jon Kent by essentially shelving him and not featuring him... This is the last thing the somewhat revitalized Superman comics need, going to make a lot of people who have been cautiously enjoying things like the PKJ run (including myself) start to think twice

I don’t have a problem with the idea of this relationship, but I have a an issue with the fact they wrote off his original boyfriend for the sake of trying EVEN HARDER to pander to my demographic (being bisexual). I see through that this was a business decision for internet controversy artificially driving sales, and not a genuine thoughtful or a creative decision. A DC comic series from the early 2000s called “The Outsiders” did next-generation super-heroes, anti-heroes, and LGBT representation a lot better than most modern comics try.

EDIT: Bendis RUINED Jon. Artificially aging him up did his whole relationship subplot dirty, it would have been better if we genuinely explored him as a person growing up before we rushed his boyfriend’s character.

I bring this up again, but It's the same company who approved Batman to be assaulted by their most well known female arabic character, Talia (who was a cool character before) and got a child from it. So DC, when will you show some decentcy and dignity towards male assault victims and retcon Damian out of continunity or are men worthless in your twisted minds, DC?

no. Nope. N.O. The real Jon Kent is still out there growing up in the depths of space/time. The Jon Kent in current books is just some mimic/clone/doppelganger/pod person that needs to die at this point. 🤔

I blame intersectionality.

The intersection of laziness, antidepressants, lack of talent, self-infantilization, attention-seeking, incompetent attempts at social engineering (aimed at children), and gay power fantasy (everyone wants to eff me).

Jon and Jay moving to Sanfransisco is like a quadruple down on the gay stuff lol
