The world of Westeros has a problem...and that problem is ice zombies. Whitewalkers! The dead have risen again, creating an army that threatens the safety of the realm. So who will be the hero to save them? Game of Thrones lore has a prophesy of the Prince that was Promised, but who will that Prince be? There are a few good candidates, but today we're looking at the evidence to conclude who the TRUE hero of Westeros will be!

Like the theme song? Thanks to CARF!

14:00 The salt obviously refers to how salty Jorah the Explorer is about Dany friendzoning him so many times.

Jorah killing Dany to stop the White Walkers would have been 1000x deeper and more meaningful than anything in season 8 thus far. RIP Jorah you were the Prince that was promised, but not the prince we deserved.

Jon Snow is the only other living Targaryen inthe world.
Maester Aemon Targaryen :

Now we need MatPat to cover how Arya is Azor Ahai.

Jorah...one step closer to being the hero of Westeros!

PS. Don't underestimate R'hllor. I don't think all of tonight's fatalities will last...
Oh Game of Thrones, you taunt us so!

Jon isn't Azor Ahai reborn. Rhaegar Targaryen was, he was born under a bleeding star, amidst salt and smoke, with the blood of the dragon and dragons coming back only 35 or so years afterwards. Jon is Lightbringer. Lyana is Nissa Nissa (Azor Ahai's wife who was killed when Lightbringer was made)

9:38 well, everybody knows that by now but its good to remind, the prophecy is in valyrian that is a gender-less language. Thus, prophecy says prince/princess that was promised.

why do I feel like this makes way more sense than the actual ending

I'm calling it now. Daenerys will become the main human antagonist for Westeros and when attacking King's Landing, Jorah will realise she's lost her way and followed in her father's footsteps. With no other choice, he'll kill her, much like Jaime killed Aerys, and he'll produce the flame sword. To finally redeem himself in the eyes of Westeros, he'll sacrifice himself to stop the Night's King.

Nice theory, but Azor Ahai is Hodor. Obviously.

How about our favorite Lannister, Tyrion? Theorized to actually be the son of the mad king due to his obsession with Tywin's wife, which would give Tyrion the blood of a dragon. Under the red messenger on Joffrey's name day he took his role as hand of the king, a new life of politics he loved. When Stannis attacked King's Landing, he set the sea ablaze with fire and took to the battlefield as a true leader for the first time, qualifying both the smoke and salt. All that remains is dragons soon following.

Missandei said that in High Valyrian "prince" can also mean princess.
