I’m restoring a 1999 Yamaha R6 and these videos are music for my ears. Thanks for recording them 👏🏻

Just bought a R6 2002 with 12 kmh on the clock so your tutorial are gold as it has been a long time since I had a bike 👍

Because of this video I was able to get this project done and your other video on how to clean it. AWESOME JOB BRO!! You saved me about $800-$900 on a mechanic because that’s how much they were charging to do this job. GREAT VIDEO!!

Fantastic video! Trying to remember all those tubes, lines, and screws is very intimidating prior to beginning. AND you even included the service manual in the description! Dude... I'll be watching your video multiple times in a few months when I clean mine. Thank you again

Great video broh. Liked and subscribed. Just got an r6 and your video is the best way to keep the passionate riders learning more about their bikes. No nonsense, quick extra info as you work, and keeps a sharp mind to the watcher. 🤙🏾🤙🏾 from the pacific islander

Thank you for taking the time to share this information. I take so much knowledge from the internet, but never add to it. Unless you count Amazon reviews ;) haha.

Great video!!! I was having a really hard time seeing and getting at the cap screws around the boots. I dabbed the head of the screws with a white paint marker. It made it much easier to see.

I just dumpster dived a 2001 r6 that’s real nice
An area tow service actually sold it to me for $500 but he put about 10 cycles into the dumpster to get to it

A few nice cycles dumped yah I’ve got to clean my carbs

So I will watch your other video
Peace breaux

Nice video. Two things I would suggest that helps with the reinstall. Just take off the nut for the throttle cable bracket(which is also part of the bolt that holds the carbs together), that way you don't have to screw around with the cables afterward. on the 99 I found turning the three bottom clamps around 180 and flipping them so all four 3mm allen bolts are facing the back is easier to access them, especially if you have a longer ridgid allen key. It doesn't have the heating/coolant hoses in the way like the 2000 and up does.

This is going to help me so much, just got one to start learning. Man I wish this was a 2000. Its what I have and I'd feel so much more confident. Still gonna go at it though, maybe I do a follow up to this but with a 2000 model lol.

The 4 lower clamp bolts are harder to take off than every single step combined
