We have received some new information about the upcoming map in one of Natlan's updates, and some surprising news about Snezhnaya from reliable sources, so let's get right into it.

According to the info shared by UTeyvat, a reliable source in the community, the map in version 5.5 is incredible. I don't know whether they're talking about its size or locations, but this is very surprising. So far, we haven't received any map expansions from Hoyoverse in the last two or three X.5 patches; all of them were filler updates. So for them to add a new map in 5.5, they’re definitely up to something.

And remember, we haven’t heard about Xbalanque or Columbina so far, and they are expected to release around 5.5, so they're definitely cooking something. Natlan has six tribes, and a few months ago, we learned that Hoyoverse is planning to dive deep into the story and animation in Natlan, so I'm guessing that Natlan's story is somewhat longer than the other regions. And it totally makes sense since Natlan is the sixth region of Teyvat, and we are just one region away from going to Snezhnaya, the last region of Teyvat.

So I won't mind if they’re planning to give us more of the story. Speaking of Snezhnaya: according to info shared by Jokeverse, PTL, and Team Mew, we will go straight to Snezhnaya after version 5.7. Yes, you heard that right; we might be going to Snezhnaya one patch sooner, so there might not be a 5.8 patch. The source said that they have personally seen pictures of summer activities in development for version 5.7, and it’s up to us whether we want to believe them or not.

For now, I'm taking it with a grain of salt, and you should too, because the same thing was said about Fontaine when dataminers claimed that we would go to Natlan after 4.6, and there wouldn't be a 4.7 or 4.8 update. But things are different this time around. Jokeverse was the first channel to reveal the 5.0 beta info with gameplay and pictures, which were reposted by other sources. So for them to claim that they have personally seen the 5.7 summer event pictures, we have to give them some credit.

One more thing: in Fontaine, the dataminers just said that we would go to Natlan after 4.6 because there was no data about 4.7 or 4.8 in the game files, which was later added, of course. But as I said, Jokeverse is claiming to have seen the pictures, so like he said, it's up to you whether you want to believe them or not.

But it's not impossible since we did go to Inazuma straight after version 1.6.

Will never happen, this would mean they would have to cut short the Natlan Story by a patch in order to bring quicker the Mondstadt Filler to prepare for Snezhnaya.... either that, or they would have to cut short the typical annual Summer Patch at the end. Every single Patch Arc after 1.6 had Patches up to x.8

I call this claim BS ... we also went earlier to Inazuma, just because of Covid. 1.6 released right when all over the world there were still lockdowns. ..covid is the cause for it, that the storytelling between Mondstadt to Sumeru got HEAVILY negatively influenced by it, lots of stuff got simply postponed to later, wouldn't Covid have been, then we woudl have gotten the implementation of Dendro likely earlier and not just first with the implementation of Sumeru first. Wouldnt't have Covid been, the story of Mondstadt likely would have been 1-2 patches longer, but the plans got destroyed by the lockdowns everywhere - which is deadly for the storytelling of an ongoing game like GI, which tries it best to deliver on point every 6 weeks new content, when you can't work at the game, in a pace how you are used to work on it - and they still managed to deliever every 6 weeks new content - on the cost of postponing alot of stuff to later patches and basically rewriting the story around the made postponed things...

Inazuma was basically on 1.6 > 2.0 just the improvised best solution for MHY to continue with the game from a point, from which they were able to make sure, that they can deliver every 6 weeks new content, because the team members responsible for content for likely 1.7 and 1.8 got Covid and couldnt continue working anymore on their stuff to make sure, the content gets ready to be implemented in time. Many companies had to suddenly improvise alot, back in that time, to ensure, their work can get continued as normal as possible anyhow, whatever it takes to make sure, the situation doesn't turn the company bancrupt, because of suddenly being unable to earn money and losing eventually due to Covid more money, than being able to earn back then. Man, especially smaller companies got ruided because of Covid.

5.0 to 5.5 is basically Main Story for us, to ensure that mostly all of Natlan and their 6 tribes become first explorable, 5.4 is Lantern Rite, so a filler patch 5.6 is the typical second Weekly Boss patch and likely othewise a filler patch aside of that small final story in Natlan... leaves 2 patches, 1 is the typical usual Summer Patch, the other just needs to be Mondstadt filler, as we NEED Dornman Port to be added first, before we can travel at all to Snezhnaya.

There is absolutely no point in bringing Snezhnaya earlier, when they can flesh out with the usual pacing the game much better, instead of pressing more content into lesser patches, just to get done quicker with Natlan, when Natlan is such a big area to explore and they have still alot of stuff to do as potential filler patches to add new areas in other regions to close unexplorable map areas finally that are way too long overdue to become finally explorable, like the Black Cliff Forge, or the Area between Fontaine n Mondstadt, completing the rest of Sumeruas yet unexplorable desert and so on and so forth... so unless MHY does already within the next few patches some kind of Story Patches to hint towards it, that a journey to Snezhnaya might come quicker, than thought, I won't believe it.

yeahhh I don’t think the traveler would willingly go to shneznaya by their own terms it would be so much better if they go there bc of what happened in the natlan story quest
