Why's it taking so long? L-1011 RC Airplane Build and Kit Development

Yes, I'm still here and still building. This is a progress update on the L-1011 RC Airliner Kit development and build. In this video I briefly describe the challenges that come with developing the RC airplane kit of the iconic tri-jet airliner.

Development has been much slower than I had hoped it would be, but It's getting very close to being ready for skinning an early testing.

I'd love for you to narrate Terrance. I find it a bit more immersive as if your explaining things in person to me. Much more interesting then just watching someone put some bits of wood together 😅 love the build. Followed along in fusion with learning how to model it... Learnt heaps of techniques that I didn't know. Can't wait for this project to get going again. Great work 😁

Hi Terence, I would suggest putting out a video using narration and look at the comments afterwards. I for one think everything you’ve put out so far has been of such high quality that I’m convinced a narrated one will be perfect as well. So personally I would go for the option that suits you the best time management wise.

I enjoy watching you build something very unique. I would never purchase a kit due to the lack of RC airplane flying, but I appreciate your attention to detail. I like making things and watching people make this or repair things that catch my interest. Keep up the great work, and I can't wait to the outer layer put on and watching it fly for the first time.

Although I'm comfortable with F360, you definitely have a great sence of presentation which engages me with watching your tutorials. They're great for beginners and great as refreshers.

Although I have zero engineering background, I have the mindset that i know it can be done, so getting insights into your build process, is a great mind stimulus for trying to figure out mechanical design challenges im going through.

Also its been mentioned before, your video production quality, is aspiring. Even if you perhaps have an editor, your vision of what you want the end result to look like, thats all you.

It may sound odd, but I think this is one of your best reports so far. Building a kit is (imo) more work than building the plane from the kit. Very well done, and all the best for the rest of the project. I am learning as you go ;-)
