Another tip you can follow is to make sure that the router is placed near to areas in the home of office where the Wi-Fi signal is used most. Also make sure the signal does not have to pass through any this walls, metal objects (yes even refrigerators, cookers, etc . . ) as these will considerably reduce the signal. A little experimentation usually helps.

I have a ac-1750 tp link router and I can barley get signals in my kitchen (7-20 mbps) when I’m close I get 240+. Also the apartment I’m in is less than 1100 sq ft and on the router it says it can handle 1500

What is the best way to extend my wifi range and not have low internet signals, or no internet in dead zones?
I want to extend my existing wifi to my bedroom, so I can watch Netflix, youtube, etc on Smart TV, but an internet signal is only received as far as the beginning of entrance. Not sure if it's worth buying a wifi extender, or other?
Can anyone please recommend a name, weblink of a quality wifi extender, or other to help me. Thank you very much.

when I open tp link tl-wa901nd acces point, it says no internet acces, but when I close the acces point, it say internet acces but the signal is poor.

You failed to mention that powerline technology is dependent on the existing electrical wiring in your home which can create noise in the signal and lower your internet speeds. In some cases dramatically. This is more of an issue with older homes but with shoddy construction practices by some builders can also be an issue in newer homes.

I have the ac1750 smart bean now you said it focuses on the stuff with devices well i put it in my room my whole front yard has full bars of connection but when i go downstairs it has weak connection please tell me how to get this fixed i really dont want remove and dont get me wrong i dont want to try the power line due to your excessive complaints please reply

Honestly thank you so much!! I know it's obvious but Dumb enough to not think of it, My room is 1000 ft away from the router and by just moving it now I have full signal as to before I was getting absolutely none!

All these ideas depend on doing something relevant to the router.  What if you don't own the router and have no physical access to it?  I am living in a motel where we are supposed to have free wifi but I'm lucky if I can get one bar 90% of the time.  Don't tell me to move to another motel, there are no vacancies in this area.  Is there something I can do to boost the gain for my lap top?  I am assuming wifi is based on radio waves.  I know we used to use signal boosters for TV's and radios back in the day.  I tried an external WIFI I paid $75 for at Best Buy but that did nothing.
