Just so it is clear Trumps plan on tariffs will be a tax on the US consumer not the country that the goods originate from, so many of his supporters don't get that. The idea that domestic production can scale up that much in a short space of time, find the skilled workers etc, especially when he wants to deport 80m people is insane.
