Introducing ArcGIS for Teams

Esri is releasing a preview of the new ArcGIS for Teams integration for Microsoft Teams. Designed for centralized communication and seamless collaboration, ArcGIS for Teams enables users to access their ArcGIS content and organization where everyday chats are happening.

Here are the key features you can look forward to in the preview of ArcGIS for Teams:

1) Chat search
Use the Chat tab of ArcGIS for Teams to search for ArcGIS content. Send a message with keywords for your content and ArcGIS for Teams brings you the results.

2) Share content
Send ArcGIS content to your colleagues in a message by mentioning ArcGIS for Teams in the chat.

3) Work with ArcGIS in Microsoft Teams
Open maps, apps, layers, and scenes in the Viewer tab of ArcGIS for Teams.

I'm struggling to see the point of this? It's just opening webmaps/ apps within Teams instead of a browser. Seems like it's trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist

This is OK but would be better if this can be added to individual teams as tabs or as tabs under channels even. This has no additional value than just using the browser app.
