I'm starting to learn that MIG torches aren't all created equal !

I have Unimig welding machines (I'm in Australia). The MIG machines come with Unimig Binzel style torches that seem ok .. but I find the trigger a little cumbersome in a decent glove. I'm going to get a bigger Unimig MIG welder with a 35% @ 250A when 40C duty cycle and want to set up dedicated torches for aluminium and steel. I'm probably going to aim at 3m for the aluminium torch and 5m for steel. The only Abicor MIG torches that seem to be readily available locally are the MB EVO Pro 15, 24 & 36 and they don't appear to be significantly different to the Unimig torches. Seems the only real option I have is to buy and try ;(

Do the Lincoln mig machines under 250 amps use the same back end connection? Is it the same sized male plug? I know the trigger connection for two conductors may vary. In other words I would like to upgrade my 180 HD's 100L gun up to the 15' 250 amp rated gun on the 211 machines and bigger. Not adverse to replacing the female socket on the drive if they are available to match the larger torches back end if necessary? My 180 HD uses a four terminal plug for the trigger with just two terminals in the plug.
