How to use XLOOKUP in Microsoft Excel: XLOOKUP Function Tutorial

In this Microsoft Excel tutorial, we look at the XLOOKUP function in Excel.

XLOOKUP is a new lookup function in Excel. If you have ever used (and struggled with) INDEX and MATCH or VLOOKUP to perform complex lookups, then XLOOKUP is a notable alternative solution.

Use the XLOOKUP function when you need to find something in a table or range by row. For example, look up a product using the product ID, or find the price of a trip using the trip code.

XLOOKUP’s power comes from being able to look in one column for a search term and return the result from the same row in another column.

XLOOKUP is more flexible than other popular lookup functions like VLOOKUP. VLOOKUP limits you to only being able to find something in a table or cell range that is in a column to the right of the search term. XLOOKUP can return results no matter where they are in relation to the search term.

We have 8 Tanks for each Tank:

Tank Nominal: 53000 Ltrs
Tank Capacity: 50000 Ltrs

and three Sample Tank:
1 Tank Capacity: 800 Ltrs.
1 Tank Capacity: 800 Ltrs.
1 Tank Capacity: 600 Ltrs.

We have non-blended (Jet A-1)
and blended with FSII & CI (JP8)

We have One Unloading Meter

We have One Loading meter for Tank 1 to Tank 6

We have One Loading meter for Tank 7 and Tank 8

Aviation Fuel Farm Tanks Management:
-Receipt (Purchase).
-Issue (Sale).
-Credit (Defuel or Return back to Tank).
-Transfer fuel from vehicle. -Transfer fuel from sample tank.
-Transfer fuel from Tank to Tank.
-Circulation

Fueler Trucks Management:
- Refuel Aircraft from Fueler Truck.
- Defuel from Aircraft to Fueler Truck.
- Circulation.
- Transfer fuel From Fueler Truck to another Fueler Truck.

We have a DIP Chart and System Digital Reading

We need a daily, weekly, monthly & annually Report for Tanks, Fueler Trucks and Customer wise.
