✧ STORY ✧

Freiden is the God of peace and crops, as they oppose the Abyss Devil's existence, previously as a Researcher.

Long time ago. A miracle shaped dust to a world full of wonders and union. Abgrund was a small world, a unity where humans, or the Conscious, and spirits, or the Subconscious lived alongside peacefully. The God of peace and crops, Freiden Gott des Friedens und Der Ernte ruled over the world, blessing the world in peace and growth.

But one day, the God decided to slumber for a very long time. It was a sudden doom. The God never showed up their presence to their people. Woes and worries travel across the whole world.

Eventually, it was decided that everybody would stick together! To contribute towards unity, and help each other to maintain peace, rules were made. Everything went ordinarily as they lived before.

Not so far from the town, there was a young eccentric man who worked as a researcher. He did follow everything to contribute to peace; but it was apparent to him that a repetitive life was never a thrill.

“What if shooting stars were in the grip of our hands?”The thoughts flowing in from the researcher stormed to his mind, but yet the researcher knew that his neighbors did not please his actions and work at the same time. He sighed as he pondered his hand, unperfectly missing a pinky. Though it was his determination to one day change the world to a perfect one with his experiments.

One day, a particular experiment he accidentally did created a large explosion. By dropping a mix of the Subconscious's life fragments and a teardrop of a Conscious’s feelings in, he made a purple orb, big as a palm. It shined beautifully like a gem, inside the orb, sparkled little stars that made twinkling noises. But, for three days straight he did not run to any problems on his experiments, he noticed the shine on the orb fairly deteriorated.

After researching it for a long time, he did his final speculation. This orb could grant all of your wishes and dreams to come true! He named the orb, the "Dream Orb". As he joyfully announced his masterpiece to his neighbors who always thought he was obnoxious.

"We can make so many things with this! The impossible will be possible, and we don't need to work so much! Long live the Researcher!" They all were happy with his work. The word and his name spread vastly and the researcher made more. He gained a large amount of fortune and fame.

However, After years, Abgrund unexpectedly falls to the reigns of chaos- not so surprising to the people who misused the Dream Orb for foulery. Greed, lust, envy, grief, wrath and pride has made "fear" to people across the world. The Researcher, who was cockily blinded by his fame, stayed quiet, cowered away in the shadows irresponsibly.

Freiden woke from all of the fuss of the world, full of mess and chaos around the place. The God ended up banishing the man down, deep, onto the depths of the void, where he was never to be seen again; as the Abyss Devil. And thus, how Dream Co. was made from the events inspired from this incident thousand year ago.

This animation is absolutely incredible! It starts off so fluid and fast, and slows down as the song sort of realizes there's more than just black and white, and that's so cool!

I find it interesting how the intro implies that this whole song is being sung by The Abyss Devil, aka Moe, towards Freiden. The lines “Don’t look at the world through coloured lenses” and “You’re a Villain, maybe I’m killing you, maybe you’re killing me” are already a pretty interesting look into Moe’s psyche. But with the added context that Freiden is a rival of sorts to Moe (possible envy or disappointment for the God position?) it feels almost condescending or mocking Freiden for their mindset.

I haven’t thought about it too hard yet though, maybe I’ll change this comment later.
