The moral of the story is that king activity is often worth a non-passed pawn

A doubled pawn in the endgame is often considered to be worth 1/2 a pawn. So, by taking the pawn instead of leaving a doubled pawn, you are only gaining 1/2 a pawn. Something to consider when evaluating a position.

Bxh6+ Kxh6 gxf3 Kg5, and black king is already active on g5, ready to go behind a few of our pawns, whereas our king still needs a few moves to catch up to black pawns.

It's comparable to the early game where some trades only help them develop their pieces. In this case winning a Pawn only helped them develop their King

In a real game, I would take the pawn and then the queen, but knowing your videos, I knew there would be another answer that would be winning, so I chose the correct move lol
