In this video, I'm unboxing, assembling, and testing the Granberg MKIV 30" Chainsaw Mill. I'm excited to get this mill together and put it to work. So far, it works great. I still need to spend some time with it, and work on my technique but overall, I really like it. To run this mill, I'm using a Husqvarna 372XP Chainsaw. This slab milling is going to be fun.

Nice pants. The springs with longer bolts are a great idea. You should let the company know.

Just cruising by... agree 100% that the bar clamp bolts should be on the the under side... not a big deal if you're cutting depths of 8 inches or more because there is now room for your hand, but anything smaller, it's a pain in the arse. Especially when you're wrestling with 36 inch plus bars and an 880.

Haha! I too was fooled by the lock washer size, right off the bat. The graphics did not help.

That is definitely a nice setup, and seems to work really well! How wide a slab can you cut with that?
This should open a whole new world of possibilities for you, and I'm looking forward to seeing all the cool new stuff you'll be able to make with it. Slabs are so expensive, it would be great to be able to cut them yourself. And now I see a large planer and drum sander in your future too, lol...

So are you now running your 30” MK-IV mill with a 30” bar on your Husky? Also, how does the cutting speed compare between your 20” bar and your new large bar on wood of similar size/specie?

I followed the video step by step for assembling my mill. But bro, howsabout a voice over at the beginning, telling us to switch those bars around. 🤦🏼‍♂️😂. I had to take mine off and switch them after the assembly, just like you did. Great video tho. Appreciate it!

put a winch on the mill, no more pushing and getting yourself tired.
