You gotta explain to me how they knew there was a dude on the roof and they don’t radio to ensure Trump is at least taken off until the figure out the threat. That’s an easy call. Delay the start, take a pause… makes no sense at all.

So here’s a silly question. Knowing there was a possible threat on a roof why the heck didn’t they get Trump off the stage as soon as they learned a possible threat was on a roof? Instead they played pop a mole while Trump was a sitting duck.

My comments will probably go unread. I see this video was posted eight days ago….. to all the veterans associated with field craft survival including Mike thank you for your service. There’s not a doubt that you have given above and beyond for your country as a patriot as a citizen I’m calling for you veterans to seek office representing our country as a nation, we are in serious trouble as a son of a veteran and a father of a veteran. I am disgusted by what is in Washington DC. Congress needs more veterans who love this country.

As a female American I agree 100% with your statements about political correctness negatively impacting hiring the best candidates for these jobs. Hiring quotas hurt & endanger all of us & these practices need to end now.

I can’t begin to fathom why a rooftop 150 yards away nor a water tower 300 yards away were not considered in the perimeter.

What you said at 25:18 was wrong. “He got off three rounds and the sniper team engaged him” Wha? Then how did Crooks get off the next 5 shots? If they engaged him..! Crooks never fired the first three shots. When Crooks fired his 5 shots, then the sniper team took him out. They only engaged Crooks once they saw him shoot. They never saw the shooter who fired the first three rounds.

SS director answered it for me. She said, that roof was not manned cause it was sloped and dangerous. That’s a lie, other sniper were on sloped roofs. It’s hard for me to think all levels made mistakes at the same time, without it being planned.

I can understand being hesitant to fire, but he was seen with a range finder 26 minutes before. Why wasn’t the event postponed until they cleared it up and got rid of him?

I call BS on the local police being in charge of securing the building. I live about an hour from Butler and have been to the location. The Butler police only had 7 officers involved and were only assigned to traffic duties. Butler is a relatively small town that doesn't have the resources to run this type of security. This area was identified as a threat. This is on the SS, they were responsible for this area, the most obvious area for a sniper to set up being left unsecured. The director of SS has lied on camera about this specifically.

A closely monitored drone would have been a game changer for SS. They knew of him for several minutes. The drone could have helped everyone know his coordinates.

Not securing a roof 120 yards away is far more than a security failure. They let him get to that spot AND get rounds off because they wanted to. I can’t really be convinced otherwise
