Insider Tips: How to make money at a casino (from a former casino employee):

1. Walk through the casino. Look for loose change on the floor. People are always dropping money, particularly coins. Congrats, you won! Last time I went to the casino, I left $0.40 richer!! PURE PROFIT!

2. Walk by all the empty slot machines and look for change in the payout tray. Sometimes they malfunction and drop the occasional coin, sometimes people accidentally leave them there. I once saw a $5 token just sitting in a tray. Employees (when I worked there) were not allowed to touch or take dropped money. Yay, winner winner chicken dinner!

3. Meals at casinos are usually cheap to keep you there. Just go there for the food. Never gamble your money, unless it’s policy that you have to, then just go to the penny slots or nickel slots and put ONLY a single coin in, you risk taking gambling’ fool! Enjoy your meal. Get out.

When at Uni we had a guest speaker who worked for a slot manufacturer. He used to design slot machines. some one asked "what was the most significant thing thing you learnt working there?" his reply, "Never put your money in a slot machine".

I worked on a slot machines company like 20 years ago. They were not mechanical but videogames. The owner of the machine had special access to the configuration panel and could select how much from all the money that enters the machine wants to keep. There were three settings: 97%, 98% or 99%. Once the machine collected enough money it could give jackpot any moment given, assuring the owner gets the share configured. So it was basically a whole to throw money in and mathematically the owner gets most of it straight into his pocket.

Funniest shit for me is people went to online casinos that are nothing more than well optimized simulation making you earn just enough to keep you hooked and lose in long time anyway.
