Dude, that makes total sense. Thanks for the visual. It's random, in the fact that you have to be in front of the right machine at the correct point in the bell curve.

I was a little worried of clickbait but this video was very informative and offers genuine math to back up what you say. Great job!
I have tried designing and programming a slot machine that i believe has around 98% RTP but it still feels like im losing way too much. How can i make the game feel better?

Love your videos. Can you do one on volatility of slots. How one can just guess if it’s high medium or low and what’s the difference.

Computer operating systems that control the odds of modern slot machines can be adjusted. Technically, someone skilled in the field can access them remotely or onsite and make whatever changes they desire.

If anybody has played gas station slots when they had the preview or pre-reveal button that shows you what the next spin is going to be, it was a "prize pool" of pre-generated results that go in order. If you change the bet the "prize pool" changes.

YOU AND I BOTH i had this down to a science - predicted the slots from the older to newer which i don't care for....old school is better and fun to play...thanks job well done !

LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos!!! They are so clear! I wish you would do a video on Actual vs Theoretical loss and how it affects comps. I swear they use a table that if you have an actual loss they comp you at a higher percentage than if you win where they go by percentage theoretical loss.

Hello, Mate - I'm also intrigued why there appear to be many more extremes at the beginning of the calculations. Any news on your follow-up/explanatory video? I totally get that it'll end up as a bell curve over time, but it leads to the question of whether or not a 'big hit' (or loss) is more likely on a new machine. Thanks for all of the great info and explanations. Best Regards

Also 95% is considered good. Some casinos and some slots have a smaller percentage or pay out like 70% or even below that, which is a ripoff but they do not disclose their rate of payout per dollar spent.

Absolutely love this video, I'm a Software Engineer and have shown people time and time again that Slots are not true "random". If you lose more times than you win, it's common sense that things aren't random, especially if you auto generate the results and see it tipping on one side versus the other.

True random would mean equal 50/50 result over a course of specific amount of spins.

This means any spin can land a 1000x bonus or jackpot, but it's not really like that when you play slots, times when the machine is "hot" and certain times when the machine is completely "cold"... never is it that you win a huge jackpot then win another jackpot then lose a bit before winning another huge jackpot... technically with true random that's how volatile and random it would be....

Anyone who thinks slots is random, clearly does not know the software within that runs the RNG.

I'm a software engineer and also love gambling. I've tried for years to explain how slots work when people ask me in casinos but it's so difficult to do without visual aides. After watching your videos, you knocked it out of the park! Do you have the Python code for your slot machine available anywhere?

There is no chance it's random cause of a lot of factors but some are like the blank space between the symbols on the reels, virtual reel maping, the fact that the casinos change machines on the same spot sell them or what ever and but new machines in trend. The second reason is 99, 9% percent of people don't have the money to even compete with the volume of spins required to get as in the video 95% of their money because they would need to be billionairs sitting 24/7 at the casino playing the same machine. It's just a very evil decieving kind of game.If you want any chances at the casino play real blackjack with good rules that can benefit the player besideds that don't come to close to any casino game. And remember always gamble with the money you can lose if it's 5 dollars fo a month it's 5 dollars and that's it.Good video bro!!!

I appreciate you explaining this so easily and beautifully. It is unfortunate that in the comments, there are still people who do not understand it. I think that it is connected to the fact that many people have difficulty understanding statistics. Unfortunately, I see a clear trend showing that all the slot channels that lie about the chances of winning, or secret things you can do to get a jackpot, are obviously the ones that appeal to most people and are pure click-bait . The Youtube algorithm obviously puts more weight on the nonsense the channels come up with.

Best example I've seen, so far. THIS is why I subscribe to and enjoy your channel.

Is there anyway you can tell the rto from a slot machine without it being disclosed by the casino or production company?

How about when I play in the slot machine and Max did that makes any difference

I find it interesting that the bell curve shows that the people losing money seems to mostly be within 20ish percent of even money. There should be a HUGE spike at 0% money returned because we all know that's how the vast majority of sessions end. If I knew that the worst I could expect to do on average was lose only about 20% of my bankroll that would be cool.
