What an interesting recipe this is! I'm not sure which one I like better, the cold process or hot process version, but it was great to finally try the cold process method for my honey and oat soap with beeswax - and I'm pleased to say I learned quite a bit along the way!

Making cold process soap with honey and beeswax can be quite challenging. All the details and the full recipe for this video, including considerations, tips and my reflections on the recipe (including hot V cold process) are here:

My original hot process honey and oat soap video is here if you'd like to try that method:

Hi Elly. Brilliant idea that Prem had to honour you. I learnt most of my soap making skills watching your videos too. Because they’re complete and you do a great job explaining what you’re doing. Thank you for that.

Wonderful ma'am. You are an inspiration for so many people. I usually watch soap making videos just for relaxation but I've learnt a lot from your videos and it has inspired me to make my own soap. I've made a few batches for my family members as well as sold out some of them. Thank you so much for your tutorials. Love from Tamilnadu ❤️❤️

Oh, wow! The story about the women in India is so wonderful! What an honor. I'm actually an aspiring beekeeper so I'll be using my own honey and probably my own beeswax when I work up the courage to make this recipe. You're the best Elly!

How amazing to have a tree planted in your honour, and to know that your videos are helping women to improve their lives. I have always used beeswax in my soap and usually combine lye and oils at around 50-55C with no problems. I make a soap with oatmeal (but no honey), which I add after a very light trace. I have never had that volcano happen. I do add honey to another of my soaps, again with no volcano.
