Be careful about mining out nodes and then leaving them, the game deletes excess loose objects after a while.

amazing start for your first time. few tips... have drill out when exploring for ores, hold " F " key while mining to pick up ores as you mine. dont leave too many ores on ground or they will get cleaned up. if you build a tower up 10 blocks high then place a block on each face, and 1 more on top, you can then place a turbine on each block and get a 5 turbine wind farm. that should perform at max output.(4 parallel with ground )
great work so far, curious to see what you do next : )

So this is by far one of my favorite games. I bought it back when it was just a tech demo and now to see an incredible YouTuber playing it just makes my whole year.

I was playing a lot of SE lately thinking of how I wanted a game like SE with the complex mechanics of Stormworks. Then this showed up on my feed, coincidence of the century.

With how good jersey is at designing, he would be great at building ships

I’m glad to see you branch out from only doing stormworks! Hopefully it goes well!

I've played this game a while ago. It gets really interesting when you try to automate mining

I played Space Engineers before I ever found Stormworks. The game is a lot of fun, glad you enjoy it. What's really fun is designing and building a large spaceship and then proceeding to crash land on a planet to begin survival.

When I had been starting out, I had already been watching months worth of Space Engineers tutorials and just Gameplay content to see how it works, then I played creative for several months getting comfortable with the building mechanic, then when I did survival I had Several Mods, completely changed what the game would be if spawning normally, My current survival thing is working pretty well, though I saved my game after being attacked by a npc vessel.

Finally, MrNJersey plays Space Engineers. I've been waiting for this. Sadly, I'm late to the show. I see you only have three episodes (and one is hidden), so am thinking you've encountered the typical SE tedium.
You can eliminate _all_ of the tedium (such that you get easier access to the meat of the game, which is building and playing around with the builds) by learning these "tricks":

- Say /gps <name> in chat (enter) to quickly make a gps point.

- Hold F while mining to grab at the same time.

- Press Alt + Middle Mouse Button while pointing at a port to stash all resources and components in connected inventories.

- Click the little box icon above the right inventory to view all inventories in the same grid (a grid is one station (or one vehicle) of connected blocks). Note that you can enable/disable inventories from showing up in the grid's control panel.

- There's a build queue (press G, bottom right). Point on an unfinished building and press Right Mouse Button to add to the queue.

- Press Shift + Middle Mouse Button while pointing at a port to add missing components from the build queue to the production queue of the grid you're accessing.

- Press Middle Mouse Button while pointing at a port to retrieve any components available required by the build queue.

- You've got an ore scanner built into the drill which has a 50 meter range. It only works when you're holding the drill.

Your knowledge of this game and the way you have your toolbar all pre-prepared is way beyond that of a total noob.

A good trick is re-flying the noob pod...
Add gyro and a remote, make sure you have parachute cloth, and you can fly to the nearest lake and parachute down on a nice fuel supply... :)

Hey! It's so cool to see new players!
This is fun. Can't wait for your reactions, as you progress and evolve...

Big tips:
1. Press F while drilling to collect minerals immediately.
2. Use the in-game Build Planner.
3. Do what you want.
4. Have fun.

This was awesome to watch! I already see you as a Stormworks genius, so I was interested to see how you would get started in Space Engineers. I've watched many videos about it but I have found it difficult to get used to, but watching you show what you define as priorities has been helpful to me figuring out how I'm going to progress. You rock!

Oh it's one of those videos where the expert on "my new game" tries that old game where I have some expertise 😀
