I hope my X-Carve arrives soon as well.

I've seen this quite a lot lately and everyone seems very happy with it.  It looks like a solid piece of kit.

Hey man. Big fan. You should make a build video of this. I would be very entertaining. Keep up the great work.

I am very excited and looking forward to see a video of that thing in action, as well as the pick&place machine. Can't wait for it ;)

Nice to see it designed using international (metric) standards.  I see all the nuts/bolts are mm, and the spanners were mm as well.

I'm sure this will annoy people in the three remaining non-metric countries (Liberia, Myannmar and that other one that skips my mind).

hello dave, we like you to make electronic projects and not just unboxing projects, i think you should do your own open source microstepping driver for this.

I look forward to seeing this in action.  I've had a CNC mill from ZEN Toolworks for 4+ years now, and have been keeping my eye out for a low cost upgrade/replacement.

Just got to love these million separate piece kits...

Those "Yankee plugs" work pretty darn nice. Only thing I wish for security purposes is if there was a locking outlet that utilizes the holes commonly milled into the blades.

EEVblog you were talking about milling fibreglass. Don't use fibreglass copper clad boards when milling. The mill wil be dull before you know it, besides the dust is not good for your health. At the fablab's where i mill circuit boards they use FR-1 exclusively and they do not allow you to mill FR-4. Also the same reason inventables only sells FR-1.

They call it a collet.  The "clamp thing" :-)

Hey Dave, I saw several black flash-frames throughout the video (11:43 is one).  Just a heads-up.  I always enjoy the videos.

Ive finally figured out why some of the test gear behind Dave look to be upside down.
They are not upside down.
They are actually left handed instruments.

Anyone can build "down to a price, " but the Chinese manufacturers seem to be able to do it better than anyone else.  They are also able to build "up to a standard" less expensively than most.  I'd say that makes them worthy of a bit more credit than being labeled "one hung low, " which is rather offensive.

Looks awesome, i think it works in modelling too as model boats like we build them have big chunks of circuit board decks and super structures. :) besides, can Dave2 give a video about building a steel milling machine? Just asking.
