It happened to me too Swifty. I ran an exe that was meant to be a pdf for an NDA. Instantly my Youtube account was taken and changed into a crypto scam one. It took me 2 weeks to get my Google and Youtube accounts restored after I thought I had lost everything. I also had to fully format my PC and redo everything, really sucked. Hope you get over it too, it's a really scary experience.

Man, that sucks Swifty, you can't trust any files anymore that are sent over e-mail. Especially executables, but even .pdf or MS Office files can have macros / scripts that will run as you execute it, depending on your pdf browser program and how secure it is. I even know about hacked images that you will just happen to see and they already activate some scripts in the background, luckily that's pretty well secured now in most browsers. I think hackers are getting way more sophisticated with AI nowadays. So you can't even trust the phone calls anymore. And soon even videos.
