This is real. I joined a new start up and it's in a downtown so lots of really nice places to eat. My company offers catering on M and W but rest of the days I have been eating out or going for coffee/boba/drinks. I knew the cost of eating out, but I just gave into the convenience.
Once the whole WFH situation started I really began seeing how much I was spending haha. I've been strictly eating stuff at home since then and I basically use that lunch money and contribute half of it to savings and other half to my brokerage account. Hopefully my company offers all week catering when we all get back 😂 🤞

Eating out can be so expensive, especially when you think of it in terms of investing!

When ever you make your meals, do the math of what it cost you in portions (8 hamburger buns for a dollar? each bun cost 12 cents!) after counding how much your meals cost you you'll start cooking more. Made a crazy buffalo chicken sandwich for like 2.50

But invest in what fund that isn't over priced? VTSAX seems over valued, or do you not worry about that and just keep chugging along? What if (I hate what if's) the market crashes like in March of 2020 when this fund lost over 30%? You can see why I might be a bit squeamish. Talk me into it at the price right now? Thanks
