Learn Functions, Independent & Dependent Variables -[6-6-23]

In this lesson, you will learn what a function is in math, and also learn how independent and dependent variables are used with functions. A mathematical function is just a calculation. It takes an input value (independent variable), and performs a calculation to produce an output, called a dependent variable. We use functions for all types of problems in math, science, and engineering. There are functions to calculate gravity, functions for fluid flow, functions for radiation, and many others. Here we begin to use functions to build skills for more complex applications in the future.
