Excellent - first one that actually works like a charm. Must add that even if it says "encoding" if it takes a few seconds then it hasn't really changed too much.

you marked a section between A-B and cut then saved - but that saves whats was before A and after B - is there a way to save the marked region A-B without doing two cuts before and after it instead?

The Edit>Cut step is not required (at least with AviDemux 2.6.18)
You simply set A and B and save

When i put long video, 5h at list, it shows me, +/-55min. Any idea why?

my fav tool, too bad you can output avi files with avi format only and the saved file's size big....
i hope they can fix that in future.
