toyota is an great brand, but speaking of getting you outta the situation, the forester absolutely is the one to go with.

I wish we could get the exterior of the Rav4 combined with the interior of the forrester

Just went with Rav4 Adventure over Forester and owed it for 2 months now. All the reviews are very accurate esp hvac buttons being too small to locate while driving -- and I like to change heater fan and temp all the time. I don't care that much about space as I had to give up comfort of Camry for the power of Rav4 in crazy winter in north east USA. The biggest draw back is that Rav4 is a bit jerky, not as smooth when you step on speed or brake pedal. The remote start and other bell and whistles do make life easier. Still love it and it's a good investment.

Love how he said no one off roads a forester lmao. The aftermarket for off reading accessories seems little odd for something that no one off roads. Admittedly is a light duty overland type of off road but yeah even my stock forester does everything thing I need for my hunting and backwoods camping trips

I did not hear anything about the Forester’s start/stop engine. Good or bad?

"I'm driving in snow mode" as the camera pans to the RAV4 driving on a clean road...

Nice and stable? I test drove one. It's noisy and hard riding.

Spoke to Toyota Dealership and 2019 models will be getting the Android Update later this year. Not sure if that affects anybody else's decision.

What I like is the new Outback XT--it is quiet, strong and smooth--I drove it 3 times....

My 2017 RAV 4 hybrid has one design defect. The dashboard display is unilluminated in daytime. What happens on a bright sunny day is that when you momentarily take your eyes off the road to glance at the speedometer display, your eye pupils air slow to respond to the change in ambient light by dilating. Therefore, unless you keep your eyes on the speedometer display long enough for your eyes to adjust (clearly unsafe) you might not know what your speed is. I don't know if all RAV 4's of that year are so designed; perhaps Toyota realized they made a design error and corrected it in subsequent production runs..

I felt the forester had a softer ride and more refined than the rav4. Test drove both for a few thousand miles. Also the forester is about 12k less than the rav. The Subaru is AWD even at the base model, the rav doesn’t. Hence 12k

a little short and not as in-depth as I would like. But fairly unbiased, and didn't spend a whole lot of time on how sporty these type of SUVs need to be, because they don't. Great review overall. For me, Subaru won, we got the sport and couldn't be happier. From the tech, to safety, way better visibility, giant sunroof, blacked out grille and wheels, HK stereo, power liftgate and all for about 4k less than rav4 in our area it was an easy win for the Forester

I related to Sebastian in the beginning so much 😂😂

I like how they complain about the rav4 being smaller than the Forrester as if the car is tiny as hell and cramped 🤦🏻‍♂️

How in the world did you get the Subaru’s engine bay so dirty? Did you drive with the hood up?

I was comparing these two and went with the Rav4 mainly because of it not having a CVT and i heard Subies have head gasket issues. I mainly want lon term reliability. But I also like the styling of the exterior of the Rav way more. The Forester did seem to have a bit softer suspension and nicer interior though. The Sport version looks great minus the orange everywhere I think
