this video should be titled "5 rwd cars that WERE under 5k before this video"

Kind of scary to see these cars once so cheap and available and now you have to almost settle for the lesser models and still pay top dollar.

For those that do not know, the 1994-1995 Mustang 5.0 GT has more naturally aspirated horsepower potential than the 1996-2004 4.6 2 valve Mustang GT. Trick flow heads, cam ect will give you more power than a 2 valve can get n/a.

day 29 of asking for “Driver to Driver” with the genesis coupe (which is also a solid rwd car that can be had around 5k)

As of always when i see a video like this, i like to do a quick list of prices in Portugal!
1. E46 330ci - Could only find one cabrio automatic - 15.000 euros.
2. Infinity G35 - 17.000 euros.
3. Mazda Rx8 - 13.000 euros.
4. Mx5 (separating by models) - NA - 8/12.000 euros.
5. Mx5 NB - 8/12.000 euros.
6. Mx5 NC - 16/18.000 euros.
7. Mx5 ND - 17/35.000 euros (depending on it being newer/older/1.5/2.0)
8. Mustang (we dont have this one so ill paste the cheapest one listed here) - 18.000 euros.

Being an enthusiast in europe is hella fun as you can see...
on top of that the regulations are absurd and you cant do anything with your car at all (and when i say this im serious)
so yeah, i hate pretty much anything remotely related to the US, but in regards of car culture, i kinda wish i had the same opportunity.

Although I've never owned a G35, I can confirm the G37 is a blast to own and drive. As much luxury as my previous Lexus and more horses than my old 90's "sports cars". 💪🔥

I've been driving an E46 330xi for 3.5 years now (my first and only car I've owned) and I absolutely love it. I will say tho that the rwd E46s do have a common issue with the rear subframe cracking but they do make kits to help reinforce the subframe, just another thing to look out for 👍

99-04 Mustang new edge offers a bit more power and can be found just as easily for under 5k. Just picked one up a month ago for 4. Gotta look hard and just know you won't find the perfect one in most cases, but they are reliable and can last really long time.

I paid $5400 for my E46 5 months ago, yeah its in really good shape, oil changes done on time, only 119k miles, but that was cheap in my area of western Washington. On average they go for $6500-9000 if you want an M54B30 not the B25.

I'll say the same thing I say on all videos like this causing the car prices to sky rocket, don't get an E46 unless you either
1. Have 5k to spend paying a mechanic to fix all the broken shit after spending 5k buying the car.
2. Have the time/money/mechanical knowledge to do the work yourself ( including prop shaft carrier bearing/ all bushes/cooling system/ drop the rear subframe for re-enforcement/ window regulators/ a plethora of sensors and oil leaks / and the list goes on.
Have a great day ✌️

picked up a 01 325xi for my first car in sept, finally starting to work on it the drivers side window has been down for months with a tarp over it. Hopefully it'll have motor mounts, window regs, and the 7k rev tune before i get my license around July

For the M54 engine found in the E46 you forgot to mention the oil pump nut.

I have a manual 1996 Ford ranger that’s only rwd, it’s not the fastest thing, but it’s got a great feeling transmission built by Mazda, and there’s many lowering kits for these too. People may hate on it but I still find them fun 🤷‍♂️

What about the lexus sc300/400/430 and the is300? The price for them should be around that price right?
